Welcome..
Ju Jitsu is the martial art developed by the
Samurai Warriors of ancient Japan. If a Samurai became disarmed during
battlefield combat he would immediately resort to fighting with Ju
Jitsu.
Ju Jitsu is a complete martial art which includes
striking, punching, throws, takedowns, self defence techniques, ground
fighting and weapons disarming. Practitioners usually train for self
defence or keep fit purposes, but there is also a sports competition
aspect for those who wish to participate.
The club has been extremely successful in open
tournaments and has produced European and British champions, as well as
national medalist. We currently have an 86% medal rate at national
level competitions and 100% medal rate at regional competitions.
Training in Ju jitsu is both challenging and
rewarding. Our aim is always to help our members to reach their full
potential. With the proper tuition, guidance and support we work
together with each individual towards achieving their personal goals in
the art, whatever they may be.
Freestyle Ju Jitsu UK is committed to helping
those less fortunate than ourselves, both in our local community and in
general. We regularly donate club funds to various charities and good
causes. Our latest donation has been to the National Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), for the amount of
£650. We want very much to give our help to many other equally
deserving causes in the future.
We hope you will find our website informative and
if you are interested in training with us, please do not hesitate to
get in touch.
